Hi there!!  My name is Laura Klein.  Well actually, Laura Retter now as I married the handsome Andrew Retter October 2018! I have a vivacious daughter, Taylor Joy and the three of us live in the beautiful downtown area of Dexter, MI.   I have had the pleasure of being born and raised in this amazing town and am thankful that I have the opportunity to raise my family here!  I love being connected to such a wonderful community that I am proud to say is home!

 

I began my career as a freelance photo editor and have since developed and grown Pure Photography into the successful business that it is today.  Through my years of experience, I have learned that there is no better backdrop than what Mother Nature has given us.  Each session is so exciting and unique, as the sun nor the sky are ever the same.  It is a challenge and a thrill using nature as my backdrop!

If you can't find me shooting photos around the Dexter-Ann Arbor area, chances are that you can find me out running the trails of Dexter.  Or maybe on a bike ride through town with my daughter, stopping at the Dexter Bakery for a cookie.  In my free time I enjoy cooking bacon, binge watching Netflix in my sweats with a cup of coffee, trying unique craft beer, spending time with Taylor and Andrew and having fun with everything that I do!

The one thing that brings me the most joy in the world of photography is watching families grow.  The opportunity to offer photography from engagement sessions through family sessions gives me the ability to do just that. It is my goal as a professional photographer to be able to grow with you and your family and I look forward to capturing all of your special moments!
